What
are the school’s hours?
School begins at 9:00 AM and dismisses at 3:00PM,
except on Wednesdays Students are dismissed at
1:00PM so that the Faculty can have In-Service
Training and Professional Development Meetings.

Does
The Academy offer Before and After School Programs?
The Academy provides Before and After School Care
for students and families who need it. There is
a fee for this service. For more information or
to make arrangements for this service, please
call the School Office at 321-455-2212.
A Study Club is also offered, at no cost, to students
who need extra help or to those who want to get
ahead in their studies.

Where
can parents find information about bad weather
closings?
As you know, we may have to close school due to
bad weather. If that is the case, we will put
announcements on TV Channels 2,6,7, and 13. You
can also call the Academy’s phone and listen
to the outgoing message about closings. We will
follow the decisions made by the Brevard School
District.

How/when
do parents purchase Academy Spirit wear clothing?
Spirit wear consists of teal tee-shirts with the
AiA Academy emblem on the front and the AiA Academy
Credo on the back. Spirit wear is worn on Spirit
Fridays during the school year and is also worn
on all scheduled field trips. It provides an opportunity
for students, teachers, staff and families to
proudly show their school support.
Orders can be placed by filling out the Tee-Shirt
Order Form, and returning it to the school office.
NOTE: Many
items of Spirit wear are kept ‘in stock’
and can be obtained throughout the school year.
However, two large orders are placed to the clothing
manufacturer: one at the beginning of the school
year and another at the end of November. All parents
and students are notified of these dates.

Do The
Academy students take the FCAT?
Our students are not required to take the FCAT
and we do not give it. However, if you would like
for your child to take the FCAT, we can arrange
for your child to take it.

Are there
scholarships available to attend The Academy?
Yes, there are three types of scholarships available:
The McKay Scholarship, The Dolphin Scholarship,
and the Starfish Scholarship.
